About Me

Cultured. Creative. Curious.

Business in the Front

I’ve always been a creative at heart. As a kid, I spent hours sketching, crafting, and finding any excuse to make something expressive. In high school, a teacher introduced me to graphic design, and I was immediately drawn to the way it brought together technology and art. That spark set the course for my career.

Over the past 20 years, I’ve built a broad foundation across industries and disciplines—agency work, real estate and development, ecommerce, healthcare, hospitality and gaming, sports and entertainment, and more. My roles have spanned art direction, content strategy, UX writing, research, and product design. That range has shaped me into a designer who thrives on complex challenges and finds clarity in the middle of competing ideas.

A pivotal moment in my career came while working at a creative agency. We launched a beautifully designed website that fell flat with users. After I pushed for testing, we discovered that simple changes to color and font legibility made all the difference. Site traffic improved, client satisfaction went up, and I realized I was more invested in usability and data-driven design than chasing aesthetics alone. That experience nudged me fully into UX and product design, where I’ve been focused ever since.

Today, I’m known for creating clean, effective designs that balance brand sensibilities with usability best practices. Data guides my decisions and usability remains my north star, with accessibility and user delight close behind. I specialize in design systems, with 60% of my work leaning into strategy and scalability, while keeping UX design, research, and creative problem-solving as integral parts of my practice.

Party in the Back

No, I don’t rock a mullet. Yes, I am more than just my profession and have a fun, quirky side too.

I consider myself an all-around creative with a love for expressive, hands-on pursuits like painting, drawing, decorating, and cooking. Color plays a big role in my world, teal especially. From street art to home decor, clothing, and even jewelry, I gravitate toward anything vibrant and bold.

Sports are another passion of mine, particularly baseball thanks to my time working for an MLB team. I’ve made it a personal goal to visit all 30 major league stadiums. So far, I’m halfway there.

Cultural events like live music, comedy shows, museum exhibitions, and festivals keep me engaged and inspired. Whether it’s discovering new artists or traveling to revisit old favorites, I seek out events that offer collective energy, laughter, and expression.

Travel has been a constant in my life since childhood. Growing up as a military brat, I moved every three years, with much of that time spent in Europe. Today, as one half of a remote-working DINK couple, I continue to explore the world whenever possible. Discovering new sights, foods, and cultures inspire me in ways nothing else can.

A few fun facts: I’ve won two amateur bowling competitions, designed mascots and game-day giveaways for sporting events, appeared in three TV commercials and several print ads, and attended my senior prom in a German castle.

Let’s Connect

While I’m currently happy in my role, I’m always open to new opportunities that let me grow, collaborate, and keep learning. If you’d like to connect, feel free to reach out or find me on LinkedIn.
